Works
Michel Roth was born in 1976 in Altdorf, Switzerland; he lives in Lucerne. He is a professor of composition and music theory at the Hochschule für Musik in Basel and is a member of the research department. As a composer he works with orchestras, ensembles, and individual performers, domestically and abroad. He has been a guest at various music festivals. Several radio and CD productions document his work for which he has received numerous prizes and stipends. He also publishes and lectures regularly on music theory and interdisciplinary topics.
